Check out Anthony’s patriotic dessert masterpiece….chocolate and vanilla Southern banana pudding! Yum- I helped a little, but Anthony did most of the work…we’re often requested to bring this to family gatherings…so today, this was our contribution to Anthony’s uncle Johnny’s traditional 4th of July cookout.
It was fun hanging out with the family today. In fact, 3 years ago – Anthony and I had just been on a couple of dates….and he invited me to Johnny’s July 4th cookout- I got to meet his parents and family for the first time. And, not long after that…I was in love!
I had a great burger with Peggy’s fabulous pasta salad and fruit salad….delicious….and a Coke- that’s rare for me, but I enjoyed it!

We sat outside and enjoyed the company…and I played a game of dominoes – I hadn’t played before- but I happened to win…that’s always fun! And spent some time hanging out with Anthony’s niece and nephews. Later in the afternoon, I had a sample of cheesecake and a bite of Anthony’s chocolate banana pudding.

We said our goodbyes….came home to relax a while…I went for a nice walk outside. Later, we went to visit Anthony’s parents and spend a little more time with his niece and nephews…we don’t get to see them very often. We played in the pool until 9:00 and came in for a late dinner of leftovers….Anthony’s step-mom Peggy’s spaghetti – amazing – and fruit salad- delish!

It has been a long, fun day but I am ready to get in bed! Don’t forget to enter my Trader Joe’s giveaway if you haven’t.
Goodnight!
